Inkling is a writing app for people who write for the love of it: novelists with a dozen drafts going at once, hobbyists writing late at night, and anyone who wants a calmer place to keep their stories than a pile of notebooks, folders, and half-lost Google Docs.

It gathers the tools writers actually reach for, outlining on a visual storyboard, a character builder, editable world maps, book covers, writing goals, and a “Previously…” recap for every story, into one place. And it sits on top of the Google Docs you already write in, so nothing is locked in and every word stays yours.

The generator never writes your story.

Plenty of tools now race to write the words for you. Inkling won't. The generator is here to support your process, recaps of your own words, a cover, a spark when the page is blank, and it can be switched off entirely, leaving a simple, private place to keep your writing together. The story is always yours to tell.
